Howdy! 2008 has been a very lucky, happy, blessed, whatever you call it year for me. In fact, I was thinking that 2009 would be horrible because of this.

So in any case, I am stating this or rather NEXT year’s wishlist. It or it could not be fulfilled like what happened in 2008. Of course I wish things would go as well as 2008.

1. Upgrade Mr-PC-Reborn. Yeah, this has been in the 2008 wishlist, but then… forget it. haha. I think it’s impossible.

1. External Hard Drive- to avoid the stack of DVDs in my room. They’re outgrowing me– my height, that is.

2. Blu-Ray Drive- Hmn, this is expensive. Nah, it shall be on my list.

3. Another mobile phone- Am I quite demanding? Haha, I still need one for my SMART sim. ^_^

4. … This will be updated later on.

Okay, let’s go back to my wishlist last year to identify what happened really… ciao!

AKEMASHITE OMEDETOU GOZAIMASU MINNA!!

I woke up because of the sound of a unique ringing tone among my contacts. Yes, I assigned a uniquely different tone for that someone. Anyway, I ignored it only to find myself sleeping again. I feel terrible. My whole body ached a lot.

I thought of what I did yesterday. If it is not because of the pool, I might have not felt this way. Oh yea, we played a lot during the time we were there. Maybe my body got exhausted for roaming around the wide pool for hours. So then, I concluded it that way.

The PC addict that I am, I can still move my hurting body to type stuff here. Haha. I can’t miss another net opportunity. Classes are about to resume, so I better make the most of it.

Hell yeah!

Today, we had our outing at Calamba, Laguna in a resort somewhere there. The pool was lukewarm and nice, we had our best time there. We played tag and ice-ice water with our cousins. We also played BINGO, sung with the videoke machine, and ate grilled seafoods and lots more together. The entire facilities of the resort was ours to use, even the billards and the table tennis facility. My nephew Renz bought his toy tanks and we played it together with Derek. We really had a great time.

It was kinda tiring, but I enjoyed it of course. Later this afternoon, we went home already. I don’t want to leave yet, but we had to go earlier because Auntie has to go to the hospital. Oh well, I wonder what they are doing right now.

Yesterday, my aunt and two cousins from Canada arrived here in the Philippines. And today, they visited us here. Tomorrow, we’ll have the real GRAND reunion for the Blanco Family at Laguna.

The only ones who came here were the families of Uncle Romy’s children, except for Ate Rhoda. Auntie Dora wasn’t present too. I had a lot of fun playing with my pamangkins and they all enjoyed as well. Too bad I can’t go out with them tonight as they go to Taytay, since we’ll be seeing each other tomorrow again.

I hope tomorrow will be a sunny day for swimming and fun. :)

Yesterday (yes, it was about 16 hours something ago), I woke up at around 8:40 am only to remember and to remind myself that I’m going out that day. 10 minutes after deciding to go to the other bathroom, he buzzed. I’m so late.

I received his IM roughly 30 minutes earlier before I woke up; luckily, 9:20 was quite an early time to leave before the mall opens.  I had a quick shower in cold water (I take a bath during the evening), and that surely woke me up.

We arrived before the mall opens at 10. Just approximately 5 minutes before it. After sometime, we met our movie companions and then the rest passed by quickly. We had watched “Ang Tanging Ina Niyong Lahat”, “Iskul Bukol 20 Years After”, and “Dayo”. It was indeed fun.

And so, I write this post 7 hours after we got home. Man, it was quite tiring, but we still had time to talk and do the usual stuff, and that includes to watch TV and go out, etc.

He had just left. That’s why I’m into my PC again. Haha.

There has been a new page added in my blog. It was entitled “Bangkok Pills”. This title was inspired by the ‘book’ of drama anthologies (and other episodes) that JM had dreamed of and we’ve already discussed.

Bangkok, being the capital of Thailand, became part of the title. The stories/dreams to be talked about or written will be with Pchy as a main cast. Of course, he’s the ‘man of the moment’. When this passes by, or when I have a new foreign or not foreign squeeze, it will soon change. But then, I hope to add the previous episodes besides Kakurenbo. However, Bangkok Pills as the title won’t have to work anymore.

I hope that the project would be started immediately. I think I won’t have any chance to write it during Summer. It’s because I might have the internship during that time…

Songs of the Japanese people had invaded my mind since the beginning of my otaku career. Everyday, it’s sure for a Japanese song to play continuously in my mind. That is what we termed as a “virus” when we were in 5th grade. Back then, the term “LSS” or “Last Song Syndrome” hasn’t been coined yet. And also, back then, we rely on Tape recordings or Cassette Tapes to be exact for our song needs. We record the TV songs of the anime series we loved to watch.

The simplemindedness we had was trivial to how we loved the Japanese culture. Oftentimes, like how the fan my friend JM was for TTK to the point of having dreams with them also happened to me when we were 10 years old. I told Kog and Jeanne Frances every single Weiss Kreuz crossover with Escaflowne dreams I had, and those dreams occur in episodes. My imagination ran wild during those times. As I recall, there was this weird dream about the Weiss Kreuz guys being chased by Merle of Escaflowne, and they were… selling deodorants. I could only laugh at the plots of my dreams. To us, they must be real. And they must be happening.

Singing anime songs had been a daily ritual for us back then. Whether it be a solo, duet, or trio we would sing our hearts while remembering the episode yesterday, chatting on it even through the telephone. Anime endings or finales would make our hearts cry our and of course, literally we cried. Sentimentality among us ruled as we reminisce the episodes, or even as we talked of our dreams about them. They seemed real in our own paradise.

Indeed, anime has brought us all of the happiness we could remember with our strong and close ties with each other. And through the years, we still remember what kinds of addicts we were. During our high school we were separated upon my transfer to another school. But we never forget. Oftentimes, our topic would still be the same on our phone calls and YM sessions. We never forgot about them. If an anime character we loved celebrates his or her birthday, we greet each other with that. They are all special to us. Hence, simply addictive would be the term. Over and over, these things fill our hearts with little joys.

We love anime. :)

It was as early as 7 am when we left our house. Our destination was at Quezon City in my Ninang Nina’s house. We were supposed to meet there and spend the rest of our Christmas day at Star City. After some talking and lunch, we left at exactly 11 AM for Star City.

We kinda got lost on our way there. We splitted ways, something like that. It turned out that the shortcut my dad took at Balintawak stuck us in traffic somewhere in Manila. Anyway, after some time, we arrived and bought our tickets and that.

Rides were of course the main thing we’re in there, and the Snow World. Mikee and me are the only ones riding the rides since the adults don’t feel like going for fear of nausea and the like. We had a lot of screaming and laughing together as we rode the Rollercoaster and the Surf Dance. The final ride, which got me a bit dizzy was the Flying Carpet. Overall, the rides got me a bit scared, especially the Surf Dance.

Then after eating, we proceeded at the long queue to the Snow World. The queue was so long, it came all throughout the vicinity of Star City. It took us an hour for the queue, but it was worth it. The said negative 15 degrees of coldness really got me. My ears and nose are so cold. Good thing the coat I was wearing was long enough to cover my fingers. I had my picture taken inside of it:

Ang LAMIG dito!

Ang LAMIG dito!

And so, this ended my 2008 Christmas Escapade. It was fun, and I loved what happened the whole day. My energy was drained, but it’s worth it. I can’t stay late tonight because of tiredness… :)

Sakura Taisen would be my Year-Ender anime. It’s really a fond memory of my first year in high school. We used to roleplay Sakura Taisen without the costumes of course. My friends and I adored the characters and so we thought of ourselves as the main characters of the anime for a while. Although it didn’t last that long compared to our Slam Dunk and Hunter X Hunter addiction, it was fun. I could still remember who we are back then: I play Shinguuji Sakura, Kog plays Iris Chateubriand, Zoren is Tachibana Maria, and Ruth is Kanzaki Sumire.

I really haven’t watched the entire series back then because of school. It was so busy during high school and I don’t have a stable internet access, knowledge of downloads, and my own PC back then.

So now that I have the resources, I decided that I should download the OVAs as well. Even the movie of course. As the year ends, I will continue the Sakura Taisen marathon. :)

Quiz time!

Shana has melon bread, Plue has lollipop, and Sasuke has onigiri. What do they all have in common?

Answer 1: Food!

WRONG!

Answer 2: Things!

WRONG!

Answer 3: Favorite food!

CORRECT!!

And so that’s what they all like. As for me, I took after L of Death note. I love chocolates. Add the chicken to differentiate my likes from L. Okay. There you have it.

I’ve been attached to chocolate since I don’t know when. Oh come on, tell me you do not love chocolates and I’ll definitely brand you as a liar. Okay, so you may not like it now, but surely you had. Fine! You may not have liked it at all!!

Chocolates come in different packages, mostly exquisitely packed. Attractive, perfect gifts and delicious, they make me feel happy whenever I’m depressed. Most of the chocolates I eat are the ones that are more bitter: the dark chocolate. For me, they are the best sort. Well, long ago it was the chocolate with wine that attracted me so much. Since I haven’t tasted it in years, it has therefore changed.

Chicken is all I wanted for dinner. And for breakfast. And even for lunch. The best way to present a chicken cooked to me is to roast it. The marinade should not be very sweet. The balance between sweetness and saltiness should emanate. As of this moment, the best I’ve tasted so far when it comes to marinades are either of the following: Andok’s, Savory, and Kenny Roger’s.

When we’re talking of Fried Chicken, it should always come with gravy. Number one gravy is now Mc Donald’s for me, next would be the KFC gravy. The chicken breading’s number one is Shakey’s, followed by KFC, and by Mc Donald’s.

Other ways for Chicken that are plausible for me: Tinola, Afritada, Curry and Barbecue. I do not like Chicken adobo that much.

Best part of the chicken? Long ago, it was the drumstick that I love. But now, it’s the wings. They are the so yummy.

That would be all. I’m so smitten by these foods! Right now, I’m enjoying my all time fave, Meiji Black chocolate. ^_^
